Our "Density Creep" Cartoon Contest!

Our Keewatin neighbour, Frank Gardiner, thought we should have a cartoon character to represent the "density creep." He challenged the art students at Northern Secondary School to create one. We thought they were all winners! Below are their cartoons and the stories.

Money Bags

Sofia F., grade 10:

At the top left is a developer with a bag of money and a dollar sign eye. On the bottom right is a superman type of character landing an apartment building on top of a crushed house.

Megan L, grade 11:

This is a grumpy Keewatin resident (maybe Frank) who might lose his home.

Marion L, grade 9:

This is meant to depict an architectural student (also $ eye) spray painting over all the old houses on Keewatin to erase them.

Keewatin resident, Frank Gardiner, students Marion L., Sofia F., Megan L. (all wearing their Keewatin toques), teacher Louise M., Keewatin resident Vicki Fecteau
